🔗 Share this article The second-hand marketplace Users Voice Anger Regarding Size Changes Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing. The second-hand shopping app has altered its size classifications for women's and children's clothes without notifying every member regarding the update. Social Media Response Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present a different size category versus the original listing because of the remapping. The platform stated the new system was more in line with other platforms. The platform has recommended to check their listings and manually change the size if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Changes Before the change, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Shopper Accounts One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she stated. Required Changes A different user, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said. Service Background The platform boasts over 100 million members, with 18 million British users. It has proved a popular alternative compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop. This isn't the first time that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
